Andrew Sachs: I worshipped my granddaughter

But actor does not approve of Georgina Baillie's job with Satanic Sluts

Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs admits he was disappointed when he found out granddaughter Georgina Baillie earns a living as part of burlesque group Satanic Sluts.

'It's horrible,' he says. 'What she does is hardly something that brings respect or honour or pride. I don't see how any grandparent can be proud of that sort of thing.'

Georgina's saucy antics were exposed when Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand left lewd messages about her on Andrew's answer machine during a pre-recorded Radio 2 show in October.

But the 79-year-old is now hoping to put the controversy behind him. Georgina, 23, has recently written to him to say she wants to make amends - and he hopes she's ready to make changes to her life.

'Georgie's quite forthright and single-minded,' he tells Weekend. 'She was such a lovely, perfect, outgoing little girl and I worshipped her. But then everything changed in adolescence.

'It's very sad.'
