Jack Tweed misses Jade Goody memorial

Widower was unable to cancel work commitments

Jade Goody is opening a restaurant that will serve 'normal food'

Jade Goody's family and friends got together for a memorial service yesterday – but her husband Jack Tweed was absent.

The 22-year-old was instead shooting a video for girl band Bubble G in Hastings, East Sussex.

Jack was only given 24 hours' notice, so was unable to cancel his work commitments to attend the tribute event at FA Albin & Sons undertakers in Bermondsey.

‘There will be a proper memorial ceremony in future, which Jack will be involved in,’ rep Max Clifford tells The Sun.

Guests at the service included Jade’s mum Jackiey Budden, her new boyfriend Jason Cooper, 36, and children Bobby, 6, and Freddie, 4.

They helped unveil a bench and black and gold memorial stone, which featured a heart-shaped picture of the Big Brother star.

‘A Bermondsey girl who did so well. A star for all time,’ it read.

Jade died in March aged 27 from cervical cancer.
