Basketball legend recalls treasured moment with idol

Magic Johnson was close friends with Michael Jackson

Magic Johnson shared his memories of pigging out on fast food with Michael Jackson yesterday.

The basketball legend paid tribute to the star at a public memorial at the Stapels Centre in LA.

‘I went over to his house to have dinner,’ said Magic, 49. ‘The chef brought me out grilled chicken. But he brought Michael out a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

‘I went crazy. I was like, “Michael, you eat Kentucky Fried Chicken?” That made my day. That was the greatest moment of my life.

'We had such a good time sitting on the floor eating that bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.’
