While most of the world is resolutely Team Peter as Jordan and Peter Andre’s bitter divorce battle unfolds, there’s one person who’s resolutely Team Jordan – Jordan herself.

When Jordan – real name Katie Price – went to visit her solicitor last week, she took the opportunity to send a defiant message to the world with ‘Team Katie’ emblazoned in pink across her chest. It was a sign of how desperate she’s become – but it also showed her feelings of isolation.

In the battle for hearts and minds, so far Peter, 36, has been winning hands down while Jordan, 31, has been forced to fight her corner pretty much all on her own.

As one friend tells : ‘In all this storm of publicity, everyone seems to have forgotten the fact that it was actually Peter who left her.

'She now realises that her plans to let off some steam [in Ibiza] have backfired. She wants everyone to think of her as Katie, not the Jordan of old.'

The thing that’s hurt Jordan most of all, according to her friends, is the suggestion that she’s a bad mum.

And she was dealt another blow last week when photos appeared of her son Junior, 4, in floods of tears. The upset came as the little lad was being handed back to his nanny after spending the previous day with Peter. It looked as though Junior didn’t want to leave his dad, which is bound to infuriate Jordan.

Despite her best efforts, Pete still came out on top by the end of last week. In an interview with Chris Moyles on Radio 1 last Friday, Peter refused to criticise his wife. ‘What’s done is done, you know?’ he said.

‘Look… Shit, she’s the mother of my children and there’ll always be love… Shit, I dunno what to say.’

While Peter admitted on air that there’s ‘no way’ the pair would be getting back together – despite him being pictured wearing what looked suspiciously like his wedding ring the day before – he didn’t give away any details of the break-up. When asked if he’d like them to be friends again at some stage, Pete said: ‘For the sake of my kids, I really hope so, absolutely.

‘You know what? For every bad that someone has, there’s always good in them as well. I don’t want her to be getting any bad press, I don’t want her to feel that pain.’

Chantelle Houghton is waiting in the wings

She’s signed to Jordan’s old management team and fans have been wondering if Chantelle, 25, will replace Jordan in more ways than one after she said of Pete: ‘I’ll have him.’ 

Pete’s response to shots of a bikini-clad Chantelle was: ‘I’m impressed.’
