SHOCK! Len Goodman has secret cancer op

Strictly Come Dancing judge was diagnosed in March

Len Goodman has had surgery to remove a cancerous tumour in his prostate gland.

The Strictly Come Dancing judge underwent an operation three weeks ago at a Bupa hospital in Blackheath, London.

Len, 65, was diagnosed with the disease in March following a routine check-up.

But he put off treatment until he had finished filming US reality series Dancing With The Stars.

‘I could have said “sorry” and not done the show, but the doctors felt I wasn't riddled with it and it wasn't so far advanced that it was a life-or-death scenario,’ Len tells the Mail On Sunday.

‘It takes a few weeks to get everything set up for the operation anyway, so I went ahead and did the show. I had the surgery done as soon as I got back from America.’
