London rapper discharged himself after operation

Dizzee Rascal's wounds have now healed

Dizzee Rascal has revealed he was once hospitalised after being knifed. 

The rapper underwent surgery following the attack six years ago.

'I was stabbed in 2003 in my chest, just under my armpit, my inner thigh, under my thigh, my lower back and my right bum cheek,' he says.

But Dizzee, 23, real name Dylan Mills, recovered well.  

'I was in hospital for three nights and then I discharged myself - I wanted to get out of there,' he tells The Observer Magazine.

'I don't know if it was the adrenaline, but I was up and about until they operated on me.'
