Madonna named world's highest-earning musician

Singer rakes in £67million in just 12 months

Madonna kicks off the next leg of her Sweet And Sticky tour next month

Madonna is the world's highest-earning pop star, according to Forbes magazine.

The singer raked in a massive £67million from June 2008 - 2009, due to the success of her Sweet And Sticky tour.

Celine Dion came second with £61million, and Beyoncé Knowles was third with £53million.

Rounding off the top five were Bruce Stringsteen and Kenny Chesney.

Madonna, 50, kicks off her 27-date European tour at London's 02 arena on 4 July.
