Marilyn Manson cut himself over Evan Rachel Wood split

Singer also bombarded actress with phone calls

Marilyn Manson's new album The High End Of Low is about his break-up with Evan Rachel Wood

Marilyn Manson resorted to self-harm following his break-up from Evan Rachel Wood.

The rocker, real name Brian Warner, split from the actress, 21, last year.

Marilyn, 40, desperately tried to contact Evan when he was alone over the holidays.

'My lowest point was Christmas Day,' he tells Spin magazine.

'I was struggling to deal with being alone. I called her 158 times and I cut myself.'

Marilyn was previously married to Dita Von Teese.
