TV star wants to enjoy married life
Saturday, 4 July 2009
Denise Van Outen is fed up of the baby talk surrounding her marriage.
The TV presenter tied the knot with Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead, 27, in a secret ceremony in the Seychelles in April.
Ever since, Denise has been constantly quizzed about her personal life.
‘It’s just too much pressure,’ she admits. ‘You spend so long in the media being the victim.
'Poor Jennifer Aniston, poor Kylie Minogue, poor Denise. Everybody feels sorry for you. Then you meet someone and it’s immediately, “Are you getting married?” Now it’s “Are you having a baby?”’
Denise, 35, has even been asked by strangers if she’s having trouble conceiving.
‘Just because I’m not throwing my arms in the air telling everyone we’re trying, now everyone’s asking if we’re having fertility problems,’ she tells Grazia.
‘To conceive, you’re not meant to be stressed! I was on antibiotics last week and not drinking. Even the air stewards on my flight to New York were asking me when it was due. It’s just too much pressure. We want to enjoy married life.’
