Jewellers will make the singer and stage sparkle
Wednesday, 24 June 2009
Michael Jackson will be draped in Swarovski gems when he performs at London's O2 arena.
More than 300,000 of the gems are being used on the costumes and set for his series of concerts, which begin on July 13.
‘As the king of pop, it is only natural for him to be crowned in crystal,’ says a Swarovski spokesman.
Meanwhile, more tickets for Michael's concerts have gone on sale today.
Fans who have registered on his website will have priority.

This man is a legend
The King of Pop (Farewell) Stand and hear the silence before the whole world calls Out in tears of sadness when a golden talent falls From early years of glory you made the whole world sing You transformed right before us a young man to a king. Don’t stand back in the shadows Amplify your praise Rock the world with every song The King of pop has made. Forget the darkest hours there demons laid to rest We’ll lay a simple white rose softly on your chest In thanks for what you’ve given and for the work you’ve done Your reign is far from over your memory’s just begun Rest easy now dear Michael and sleep without your pain Generations will remember you over and again I hope your dream is granted and you’ve found what you’ve lost A childhood free from inner pain, free and at no cost.
