Sonique is to start having chemotherapy after undergoing an emergency operation for breast cancer.

The singer, real name Sonia Clarke, was diagnosed two weeks ago and was operated on immediately.

But she had further surgery at a Harley Street clinic on Friday after being told the disease had spread.

Sonique’s second operation has been successful and five months of chemotherapy will now follow,’ says her spokesman Stuart Watts.
