Chris Brown's lawyer has requested a delay in the singer's assault case so he can gain access to police records.
The R’n’B hunk is due in court on 22 June for allegedly assaulting and making criminal threats to his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
Mark Geragos wants extra time so he access police personnel and investigative records, reports the Associated Press.
Chris faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
