Britney Spears finds love again

The pop star's head over heels with her agent - and her family approve

Britney Spears is relaxed and happy

After a string of unsavoury love matches, Britney Spears is mixing business with pleasure by dating her agent Jason Trawick, 37.

Jason, a rep for the William Morris Agency and a longtime friend of Britney’s brother Bryan, reportedly caught her eye years ago and she’s had a crush on him ever since.

Our source reveals: ‘Britney was so shut down after her divorce from Kevin [Federline]. She was devastated and swore off love completely. She had dalliances after the break-up, but was so closed off emotionally they didn’t really mean anything.

‘She wasn’t looking for love, she just wanted to get her life back on track. But after a few months she started to trust Jason and saw he was a good guy, unlike all the leeches who’ve been swarming around her.

‘At first her guard was up, but little by little it started to come down. They were friends first, got to know each other, then took it to a romantic place. It’s a good, wholesome relationship – not like all the crazy drama she’s used to.’

In the past, Britney’s questionable relationships have alienated her family – most notably her former paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, who Britney’s father Jamie filed a restraining order against in March. But they couldn’t be happier about this love match.

‘Her dad loves Jason,’ says our source. ‘It’s been really helpful for Britney to see how much her family likes him. It made her feel safe because for a while she didn’t trust her own judgment. She’s a family girl and puts a lot of stock in what they say. Having them love Jason means a lot to her. She knows they wouldn’t steer her in the wrong direction.’
