BREAKING NEWS Sonique having urgent breast cancer op
Sonique's new single World Of Change is due to be released in July
Sonique is undergoing surgery after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The singer, real name Sonia Clarke, was told she had the life-threatening disease last Tuesday.
She is being treated at a clinic in Harley Street, central London.
Her spokesman Stuart Watts says she is having the op as a matter of urgency.
She was admitted to hospital at 7am today and is due to remain there until at least Saturday.
Sonique, 40, has enjoyed chart success with hits I Put A Spell On You and It Feels So Good.
