Comedian apologises for making the child cry

Alan Carr has butter fingers

Alan Carr was left red-faced when he accidently drenched a five-year-old girl in wine.

The Sunday Night Project star tripped up while watching Take That perform in Coventry on Wednesday.

‘I have to apologise to the woman in front of me because I fell on her and threw wine over her daughter,’ Alan, 32, told Chris Moyles's Radio 1 show.

‘It was like a comedy moment. I looked at my glass and it was empty and there was this girl wiping white pinot grigio out of her eyes, crying.

‘I'm like, “I can only apologise” because when you're slurring even more it doesn't help, so I can only apologise to the lovely girl, I'm sure she's fine.’
