Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt donate $1m to charity

Couple give cash to specialist cancer unit in his hometown

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been together for four years

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have given a Missouri hospital $1million.

The couple, who have six children, are supporting a cancer treatment unit for kids in Brad's hometown of Springfield.

The money will go towards building a new paediatric unit at St John's Hospital and a ten-bedroom hospital-based Ronald McDonald house.

It will also double the size of the neonatal and paediatric intensive care units.

Brad's brother Doug announced the generous contribution on Saturday.

St John's is matching the donation to help fund the expansion.
