Police not pursuing criminal case against actress
Tuesday, 16 June 2009
Jessica Alba won't be prosecuted over posters plastered around Oklahoma.
Police say none of the property owners want to press charges.
The posters, aimed at raising awareness of the declining number of white sharks, were glued to a bridge, electrical boxes and a billboard for the United Way charity.
‘I got involved in something I should have had no part of,’ Jessica said in a statement.
‘I realise that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign.
‘I sincerely apologise to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident.’
