Pete Doherty has pleaded guilty to possessing the Class A drug heroin.
The Babyshambles star, 30, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday after his vehicle was allegedly seen being driven erratically.
He was kept in a cell overnight, before appearing at Stroud Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Pete also admitted driving without a licence or insurance, but denied dangerous driving.
No plea was entered for a drink driving charge.
He was released on £50,000 bail and is due at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on 11 August.
