Actor and Heather McComb's six year marriage ends

James Van Der Beek and Heather McComb married soon after his hit teen show ended

James Van Der Beek and his wife Heather McComb have broken up.

The Dawson’s Creek star and the actress separated two months ago.

‘It was totally amicable and they remain good friends,’ his rep tells People.

James and Heather, both 32, tied the knot in July 2003 in Malibu.
