Nicole Richie is Lionel's adopted daughter

Lionel Richie reckons his pregnant daughter Nicole is secretly hoping to have another girl.

The socialite, who already has 16-month-old Harlow, is expecting her second child with fiancé Joel Madden.

‘Joel and I are hoping Nicole will have a little boy,’ Lionel tells Now Online at the Capital FM Summertime Ball.

‘But knowing Nicole, she’ll want another girl. They won’t want to tell me what they’re having because I’ll tell everyone.’

Lionel, 59, jokes that Nicole isn’t the easiest person to live with at the moment.

‘She hasn’t had any cravings - she’s just driving me and Joel and everyone crazy!’ he says with a chuckle.
