James Corden: I cried over last Gavin And Stacey episode

Comedian and co-star Ruth Jones welled up

James Corden is dating actress Sheridan Smith

James Corden got teary-eyed while penning the final episode of Gavin And Stacey.

The comedian and co-star Ruth Jones, 42, struggled to contain their emotions as they finished the script.

‘It's an emotional time because we are saying goodbye to characters that we love,’ says James, 31, who plays Neil ‘Smithy’ Smith in the BBC show. 

‘You know, when we wrote the words, “This really is the end”, we both welled up and we looked at each other and we were sure that’s it.’

Filming on the third and final series starts on 15 June, and it will air later this year.
