Leona Lewis turns down Barack Obama dinner invite

The X Factor winner is too busy recording new album

Leona Lewis is currently in LA

Leona Lewis missed out on the chance to see US President Barack Obama.

The X Factor 2006 winner was put on the guest list for a White House party.

But the 24-year-old was unable to attend because of work commitments.

‘Leona was thrilled to be invited to dinner by President Obama,’ her spokesman tells the Daily Record.

‘She really wanted to meet him, but it unfortunately clashed with her schedule to get her second album done.

‘Leona has had studio sessions in LA booked for months and has been working day and night getting things perfectly.

'So there was no way she could make the trip to the White House.’
