Eminem's strop at Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards was staged.
The rapper was seen storming out of LA’s Gibson Amphitheatre after a scantily-clad Sacha Baron Cohen, 37, landed on his face.
The comedian, who was playing his gay alter-ego Bruno, was lowered from a harness directly onto a seemingly unsuspecting Eminem, 36.
But now the show's head writer has confirmed it was a set-up.
'Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged,' says Scott Aukerman.
'That's all anyone wants to talk about, so let's get it out of the way.
'They rehearsed it at dress rehearsal and yes, it went then as far as it did on the live show.'

Every time I try not to like Eminem, he pull's another of his stupid stunts which makes me like him more as a person. I will never go within 8-miles of his music (although I did love the "Without Me" song and video) because I do not like rap but I like him as a guy and he has his good moments once in a while. Now if I could get him to do another funny song and video as a follow-up to Without Me.
