Girls Aloud top reality TV rich list

Group are worth a whopping £25million

Girls Aloud are the most successful reality TV act, according to new research.

The group, formed on Popstars: The Rivals, topped Current TV’s Reality Rich List, having earned more than £25million in just seven years.

Original Pop Idol winner Will Young comes in second place with a value of £12.5million.

'The Reality Rich List proves that, for a select few, the genre really is a source of both fame and fortune,’ says Current TV’s James Du Bern.

‘It's amazing how financially lucrative a relatively short stint on TV can become.'

Leona Lewis, 24, the late Jade Goody, 27, and Myleene Klass, 31, round off the top five.
