Piers Morgan has jumped to the defence of Britain's Got Talent finalist Susan Boyle.
The 48-year-old lost her temper outside the Wembley Plaza Hotel yesterday when two fans insulted her.
But Piers says she’s under immense strain.
‘Susan is an incredibly sweet, nice, gentle person who has been propelled through this show,’ he says.
‘Suddenly, a month later, she's the biggest star on the planet and I don't say that lightly. Anybody who has gone through that incredible transformation is going to be feeling the most unbelievable pressure.’
Meanwhile, Susan has denied swearing at Piers in a bar when she - and other finalists - watched him praising rival singer Shaheen Jafargholi, 12, on Tuesday's show.
It was reported she stuck her fingers up at the TV and stormed off.
