Kevin Bacon 'chases BlackBerry thief' in New York

Actor reported to have pursued robber

Kevin Bacon has 2 teenage children with actress wife Kyra Sedgwick

Kevin Bacon was targeted by a thief in New York last week.

The mugger reportedly got away with the actor’s BlackBerry – which has contact details for his A-list pals - on Thursday morning at a train station in Manhattan.

Brave Kevin, 50, is thought to have unsuccessfully given chase.

'Bacon didn't give up the BlackBerry easily,’ a source tells The New York Post. ‘He took off after the crook, but lost track of him as he raced through the station's crowd.'

NYC Transit officials say no complaint was filed with their staff, but it’s thought Kevin reported the crime to police.

His spokesman was unavailable for comment.
