June Sarpong: Car accident kept me off drugs
June Sarpong now lives in the States
June Sarpong has credited a car accident with helping her avoid illegal substances.
The former T4 host was knocked down by a motor when she was 15.
June had to spend 18 months in hospital recovering, which allowed her to stay away from the wrong crowd.
‘Weirdly the accident made me more focused,’ says June, now 31.
‘I was the kid who hung out with the cool crowd, so I’m sure that if the accident hadn’t happened, I’d be doing drugs and sex much earlier – everything my friends were doing.’
