Heather Mills: I’ve joined Twitter to stop fakes

Former model plans to use social networking site to set the record straight

Heather Mills has joined Twitter – because she's fed up of people posing as her.

‘It seems there have been quite a few people pretending to be me, twittering in my name,' says the former model.

'How very dare they! For the real SP on anything Heather Mills related come and visit my new Twitter page.’

Heather plans to use the social networking site to dispel rumours about her.

‘I thought it about time that I joined the online Twitter revolution,’ Heather, 41, writes on her official website.

'I’ll be tweeting on issues close to my heart, both in and out of the news, posting favourite links to websites and campaigns or stuff that simply makes me laugh or even cry.

‘I'll be sharing recipe ideas, my thoughts and feelings on any number of things. Of course I promise to try not to be too controversial but I can really only be me, and in all honesty I wouldn’t be true to myself if I didn’t tell it exactly like it is.'
