Lily Allen won't travel on the London Underground because she's too easily recognised.

The singer had a bad experience a few years ago, which freaked her out.

‘I’m a bit haunted by it now,’ Lily, 24, tells the Daily Mirror. ‘I was trying to get into the centre of town to see my boyfriend and I was on my own.

‘People started shouting and singing [my song] Smile. I was in tears: “Just leave me alone!” And people were like: “What are you doing on the Tube?”

‘I thought, “You know what? I’m not going to get on the Tube for a while”.’
