Will Young is seeing a vocal coach because a throat op has left him struggling to hit the high notes.
The Pop Idol 2002 winner had his tonsils taken out last month.
Now Will, 30, is working flat out so he can perform at the Isle Of Wight Festival on 12 June.
'Will was worried about the effects of the operation before he had it because it’s a big deal for someone who makes a living out of their voice,' a source tells The Sun.
'He’s concerned his singing might not be the same again. He has had a croak and his range has been affected. But he’s got a top vocal coach helping him out and he is improving every day.'
Will's spokesman insists he should be fit enough for his summer gigs and confirms that he always has singing lessons ahead of his live concerts.
