David Hasselhoff is eager to meet a hero dog that’s been named after him.

Staffordshire bull terrier Hoff saved owner Nathan Williams, 29, from a burning building by waking him up with his barking.

‘I am trying to get in touch with the owner,’ the Baywatch hunk writes on his blog. ‘I would like to congratulate this heroic Hoff in person.’

Nathan, from Gloucestershire, is keen to take David, 56, up on his offer.

‘I would be up for it,’ he tells the BBC. ‘It would be strange to see him in Cinderford.

‘I can't really understand why he would want to meet me, I am just a man from Cinderford who had a fire.’
