Shobna Gulati tipped for Coronation Street return

Actress who played Sunita said to be finalising deal

Shobna Gulati left Coronation Street three years ago

Shobna Gulati is being lined-up to make an explosive comeback on Coronation Street.

Her character Sunita Alahan left Weatherfield in February 2006 after she discovered husband Dev had several kids with different women.

Sunita had not long given birth to twins and Dev, played by Jimmi Harkishin, was devastated by her exit.

‘Talks have been going on for some time to finalise a deal acceptable to all those who are involved,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘Sunita was a great character, so to have her back is exciting.’

Shobna, 42, is expected to make her return later this year.
