Charlize Theron: Will Smith punched me in the face

Actor was training for the movie Ali at the time

Charlize Theron also starred with Will Smith in Hancock

Charlize Theron has revealed Will Smith once clouted her in the chops.

The actor was showing off his fighting skills when the pair were working on The Legend Of Bagger Vance in 2000.

‘The first time I worked with him he punched me in the face,’ Charlize, 33, told guests as she presented Will with a humanitarian award at an LA gala last week.

‘He was training for [2001 film] Ali. I encouraged him to show me a couple of moves. I was completely knocked out!’

But Charlize insists it was a fun experience working with Will, 40.

‘Seriously, though, I'd be happy to be punched out by Will anytime,’ she added.

‘He swore to me that it was an accident.'
