Kym Marsh: Corrie helped me cope with baby Archie Jay’s death

Actress says retuning to show was right thing to do

Kym Marsh has two children from a previous relationship

Kym Marsh has paid tribute to her Coronation Street co-stars for their support following the death of her baby.

The actress and her fiancé Jamie Lomas's son Archie Jay passed away in February after he was born 18 weeks premature.

Kym, 32, returned to the soap two weeks later.

‘I think going back to work is the right thing to do after any tragic time,’ she tells the Daily Record.

‘You're always dreading that first day. But being back on the Street did help massively and I'm really grateful to everyone I work with for that.’

Meanwhile, Kym, who plays Michelle Connor, has denied reports she’s to quit Corrie to pursue a Hollywood career with former Hollyoaks hunk Jamie, 28.

‘I've signed a contract for another year,’ she says.
