Leona Lewis rents £1.5m LA villa

Singer will live in the States while she records new album

Leona Lewis has taken out a lease on a £1.5million mansion in the Hollywood Hills.

The X Factor winner plans to use the five-bedroom LA villa as her base when she’s in the States.

Leona, 24, is keeping her £120,000 flat in Hackney, which she bought with boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa last year.

'She plans to spend a lot more time out in the States at her new home,’ a source tells the Daily Mail.

'Leona's made a lot of money and she thought it made sense as she is recording her album out there.

'She will also need to spend a lot of time promoting her album as she really wants to crack America.

'She finds it difficult to be away from her family, but she knows she is going to have to do it if she wants to be successful.'

Leona is said to be renting the property for £7,000 a month.
