Singer plans to invite Sir Sean Connery to wedding

Sandi Thom is to tie the knot with boyfriend Jake Fields.

The music producer, 32, proposed to the singer on holiday in Barcelona last month.

‘We were sitting in a taverna beside Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia,’ says Sandi.

‘I had no idea he was going to ask me to marry him and since I was in my jeans, I wasn't exactly dressed for the occasion.

‘When I look back on it, Jake was being really fussy about where we were going to eat that night.

'He was lovely and really nervous and he just said: “I have a question to ask you”.

'As soon as he said that, my heart stopped and I instinctively knew. He pushed the ring box across the table and opened it.’

Sandi, 27, plans to include her showbiz pals on the guest list for her wedding, which will take place next year.

‘I don't have a massive amount of celebrity friends but I'll be sending an invite to Paul McCartney, an acquaintance, and Sean Connery and his wife, who I now know,’ she tells the Daily Record. 

Sandi and Jake have been together for four years.
