Brad Pitt takes the kids away from Angelina Jolie

Their families are at war as their troubles spin out of control

Angelina Jolie's behaviour has prompted fears for her wellbeing

For months, reports have been coming out of the US that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are on the verge of officially announcing their separation.

Now, according to trusted sources, their relationship has broken down completely.

Brad, 45, refuses to listen to Angelina’s pleas to make a go of things, as he’s sick of the rows and the growing influence of her brother James Haven, 35 – her self-styled ‘protector.’

Angelina, 33, is currently filming her latest movie Salt and crew members say they’ve been stunned by her gaunt appearance on set each day. There are worries that she could even be self-harming again, which Angelina has admitted to in the past.

‘Angie’s been crying in her trailer most days and is barely eating. She keeps forgetting her lines and she’s been shaking and staring into space,’ says our insider.

‘In fact, it’s been so bad that some crew members have suspected she’s using drugs, although that’s out of the question. But the ones who know her realise it could be something much, much worse if she’s self-harming.

‘When she’s at home she just about holds it together, but she stays up listening to the same song over and over and rarely sleeps.'

Last weekend, Brad’s parents Bill and Jane travelled from their home in Missouri to visit the family in New York, but Angelina refused to take time out from filming, despite having promised Brad she’d be around.

Instead, Brad took the kids and their grandparents on a trip to Niagara Falls, leaving Ange behind with James, who’s been stoking the flames of discord between the two families over recent weeks.
