Fragile Jordan's turning on friends and family as her dreams fall apart

Jordan and Peter Andre have split

Not only has Jordan has split from Peter Andre, her Midas touch is faltering and she’s not handling her career crisis at all well.

The 30-year-old star’s confidence has taken a big knock and since her LA failure she’s crippled by insecurity.

‘The past few months have really hurt Jordan,’ says our well-placed source. ‘This has made her really miserable and rude to everyone. She’s become unbearable at home as she hates publicity she can’t control, especially when it’s all so negative.’

Jordan was very disappointed to injure her knee in the London Marathon on 26 April, hobbling over the line in 7hrs 11mins. Needless to say, she was devastated at her slow time. And this, coupled with the fact that her relocation to the US was less than successful, has sent the star spiralling into despair.

‘LA was a disaster,’ says our source. ‘She got invited to Elton John’s Oscars party and that was it. She handed her number out to everyone and received no calls back. She tried to be friends with Paris Hilton and Tana Ramsay, but got nowhere.

‘Jordan hates not being No 1. She wasn’t even the main focus in the UK any more as people were more concerned about Jade Goody’s tragic death.’

In the face of these setbacks, Jordan’s temper has become volatile. Not even her mum Amy, who’s usually the one to placate her, can manage to help

At the British Open Show Jumping Championships, Jordan led a team against Gladiator Amy Guy, who called her ‘the rudest woman she’s ever met’, according to our source.
