British Soap Awards nominations revealed

Hollyoaks leads race ahead of EastEnders

Phillip Schofield will host the British Soap Awards

Hollyoaks has received the most nominations for this year's British Soap Awards.

The Channel 4 drama is in the running for nine panel-decided gongs.

EastEnders follows closely with eight nominations.

All the major soaps have also been entered into four categories to be decided by viewers.

The winners of the Lifetime Achievement and Special Achievement Awards will be announced on the night.

The British Soap Awards take place in London on Saturday and the show will be broadcast next Wednesday on ITV1.
