Lindsay Lohan has become stick-thin

Heartbroken Lindsay Lohan has pressed the self-destruct button since she split with on-off lover Sam Ronson three weeks ago.

She denied rumours that she’d cheated, telling Ellen DeGeneres: ‘I don’t believe in cheating on someone.’

No one seems to be able to stop her breaking down as her unpredictable behaviour is as scary as her appearance.

When Lindsay, 22, went shopping in LA last week with her sister Ali, 15, her skeletal appearance shocked onlookers. Her ribs were showing and her arms were stick-thin.

Now, those close to Lindsay are urging her to seek help before it’s too late.

‘The pictures have stunned everyone around her,’ a source tells Now. ‘If she doesn’t start taking care of herself, we’re terrified she’ll end up dead.’

Lindsay, who’s battled body demons for years, has been wasting away for weeks. There are fears that a booze and drugs problem – that seemed under control since her last rehab visit in August 2007 – has resurfaced, although the star denies this.

According to insiders, she’s refusing to eat and is partying, following her split with Sam, 31 – but it may not be permanent. Last Thursday, Lindsay was seen visiting Sam’s house for a heart-to-heart. However, it’s doubtful that they’ll get back together for good.

‘For three weeks, she’s been out nonstop, club hopping in LA and Las Vegas. I can’t remember the last time I saw her eat a meal,’ says the source, who’s in frequent contact with her.

‘She also smokes like a chimney. It’s painful to watch.’
