Vanessa White has revealed that The Saturdays will try to crack the States next year.
The girl group have enjoyed huge success since forming in 2007, and now they plan to turn their attention across the pond.
'I think that was always on the cards,' Vanessa, 19, tells Now Online. 'But we want to break the UK first because it's where we are from.
'I think we will do that next year.'
Bandmate Una Healy, 27, says the group, whose song Up was recently used in an Ugly Betty promotion, are already generating good reviews in America.
‘They are starting to play our music out there and we’ve got massive support from [gossip columnist] Perez Hilton,’ she says.
‘Once we’ve got the confidence we will go over to the US because it’s such a competitive market.’
Microsoft Windows has teamed up with The Saturdays to launch a unique competition on 2 May 2009 for children in the UK to win the chance to make the band's video for new single Work, which will be realised on 29 June 2009, before the girls kick off on a nationwide tour.
