Former EastEnders star Brooke Kinsella attended the trial of three men charged with her teenage brother's murder.

Ben Kinsella, 16, died after being stabbed 11 times after leaving Shillibeers bar in Islington, where a row had broken out between other youths.

Brooke, 25, who played Kelly Taylor on the BBC soap, looked on as the jury were shown CCTV footage of Ben stumbling from behind a van after the incident.

‘On the morning of Sunday June 29 last year, a 16-year-old boy called Ben Kinsella was stabbed to death,’ prosecutor Nicholas Hilliard QC told the court.

‘He is another name to add to the long list of those killed by knives. No one suggests Ben Kinsella was anything other than totally blameless.

'This was not a war zone far away. This was Islington in London.’

Juress Kika, 19, Michael Alleyne, 18, and Jade Braithwaite, 20, deny murder.
