Boyzone star in recovery after double hernia operation

Keith Duffy was rushed to hospital with stomach pains just hours after completing the 29th Flora London Marathon on Sunday.

The Boyzone singer, 34, had a double hernia operation yesterday, and is now in recovery.

Keith's surgery puts him in doubt for the group’s tour, which starts next month.

‘There’d be no way I could do this tour if I didn’t have the operation,’ he says. ‘I’ll just have to wait and see how it goes.’  

It's thought Boyzone may cancel some gigs if Keith doesn’t recover in time.

‘No one is quite sure how long the healing process will be,’ bandmate Mikey Graham, 36, tells the Daily Mirror.

‘It leaves us in an unfortunate position because after an hernia op you can’t do too much jumping around.’
