Simon Cowell: I quite like being single

Britain’s Got Talent judge happy to be a bachelor

Simon Cowell admits he enjoys his single status.

The Britain's Got Talent judge split from long-term girlfriend Terri Seymour, 35, last year.

‘I don’t have enough time to go out,’ says Simon. ‘I quite like being single.’

Meanwhile, Simon, 49, has denied reports he’s joining the judging panel on America’s Got Talent.

‘I don’t know if I’d like to,’ he tells Access Hollywood. ‘I like being on American Idol. I’ve had a good time.

'I like producing America’s Got Talent, and I am on the British version and another show on top of that — The X Factor, so it’s quite nice to have variety really.’

Simon admits he’s looking at a new venture when his American Idol contract expires next year.

‘My gut feeling is that I probably will do a new show after Idol,' he adds. 'But you know, we haven’t fallen out.'
