Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge are parents to 10-month-old daughter Maddie

Jamie Lynn Spears’ fiancé Casey Aldridge is in hospital after being involved in a car crash on Sunday morning.

The 19-year-old’s Ford F-250 pick-up truck veered off a road and flipped while he was driving with four pals in Louisiana.

Jamie Lynn, 18, has been keeping a vigil by his bedside at the University Of Mississippi Medical Centre, where he was later transferred.

‘The doctors are pretty positive he's going to be okay,’ a source tells People. ‘He should recover fully.

'Of course you never know, but they're not expecting him to get any worse.’

Casey has apparently been charged with the misdemeanour offence of careless operation of a vehicle.

Louisiana State Police’s Billy Ziegler said there was no indication he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

No other vehicles were involved.
