Gong goes to actress Anna Maxwell Martin

EastEnders star June Brown lost out at the Bafta Television Awards in London last night.
The 82-year-old, who plays Dot Branning, was the first soap star to be nominated in the Best Actress category since 1988.
But June was pipped to the prize by Anna Maxwell Martin, 30, for her role as a mental health patient in Channel 4 drama Poppy Shakespeare.
It wasn’t a good night for EastEnders – the BBC soap also lost out to The Bill in the Best Continuing Drama field.
Other winners included Harry Hill, who was named Best Entertainment Performer for his TV Burp show for the second year running.
‘I never thought I'd get three Baftas for a clip show. Ridiculous,’ he said.
The X Factor was named Best Entertainment Show; The IT Crowd was Best Sitcom; while Best Comedy Performance went to Peep Show star David Mitchell.
Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders also received the Bafta Fellowship for their work as a double-act during the ceremony, hosted by Graham Norton.
