Actress leads mourners at Manchester service

Samia Smith is pregnant in Coronation Street and in real life

Coronation Street star Samia Smith bid farewell to her father at an emotional funeral service in Manchester yesterday. 

Joseph Ghadie lost his battle with cancer last week at the age of 59.

This week, Samia and her husband Matt announced they are expecting their first child.

‘I am so pleased that we were able to tell my dad about the baby before he died,’ she said.

Samia, 26, is due to give birth in October.
