Bruce Grobbelaar quits Hell's Kitchen

Former footballer was missing his wife Karen

Marco Pierre White admitted he was sad to see Bruce Grobbelaar go

Bruce Grobbelaar walked out of Hell's Kitchen last night.

The ex-Liverpool goalie, 51, quit the show after admitting he was pining for his missus.

'I saw my wife and knew my prize was outside,' he tells The Sun. 'I missed her.

'I realised she needed me more than these other people needed me.'

Bruce, who married Karen in December, was praised by fiery chef Marco Pierre White.

'You walk out of Hell’s Kitchen a winner, he said. 'Bruce. It saddens me to see you go.'

Meanwhile Ade Edmondson criticised Bruce for not considering the other contestants.

'I find it bizarre that a man who’s been a team player all his life has decided to quit the team,' he said.

Jody Latham and Grant Bovey were kicked out of Hell's Kitchen earlier this week.
