Ioan Gruffudd to become a dad for first time

Spokesman confirms the actor's good news

Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans can't wait to become parents

Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd and his wife Alice Evans are expecting their first child.

The couple, who tied the knot in September 2007, have always wanted a family.

‘I have my eyes on a brood of three,’ he told the Telegraph last year.

‘Ideally I would love a little daughter born in the same month as Alice, because then she would be this strong-headed, fun-loving young thing.

'And it would be great to have two women with that kind of energy in the house.’

Ioan, 35, and Alice, 37, married in a secret ceremony in Mexico.
