Amy Winehouse wants to mentor St Lucian child

Singer keen to look after kids in the Caribbean

Amy Winehouse is being divorced by estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil

Amy Winehouse wants to help the children of St Lucia.

The singer, 25, is staying on the Caribbean island while she works on her third album.

And it was reported she's even considered taking in a local kid and making it her permanant home.

'Amy is seriously thinking about adopting,' a source tells the Mail On Sunday.

'But she is aware it's going to be incredibly difficult with her background.'

A rep for Amy says: 'Amy was talking about adopting in the context of looking after children on the island, perhaps through some kind of music and education-based project.’
